Privacy Policy for Passepartout – Photo Border

Effective Date: March 10, 2026

The Minimalist Photographers Collective (“we,” “us,” or “our”) built the Passepartout – Photo Border app as a free, ad-supported tool for photographers. This Service is provided at no cost and is intended for use as is.

This page informs users regarding our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information if anyone decides to use our Service.

1. Photos & Local Processing (What We Do Not Collect)

Privacy and image security are our top priorities. Passepartout – Photo Border operates entirely locally on your device. * We do not upload, transmit, store, or process your photos on any external servers.

  • All image framing, cropping, and saving happen directly utilizing your device’s native hardware.

  • We have absolutely no access to your photo gallery or the images you choose to edit within the app.

2. Information Collection and Use (Third-Party Services)

To keep the app free for the photography community, we use third-party advertising services. While we do not collect personal data directly, the third-party services we use may collect information to identify your device and serve relevant advertisements.

The app uses Google AdMob as its advertising provider. Google AdMob may collect and use data such as:

  • Mobile advertising IDs (e.g., Apple IDFA or Android Advertising ID)

  • IP addresses

  • App usage data and analytics

For more information on how Google collects and processes data, please visit Google’s Privacy & Terms site: How Google uses data when you use our partners’ sites or apps.

3. European Privacy Rights (GDPR)

If you are a resident of the European Economic Area (EEA) or the UK, you have specific rights regarding your personal data. Upon launching the app for the first time, you will be presented with a consent management form. You have the right to:

  • Consent to or reject personalized advertising.

  • Revoke or change your consent at any time via your device’s system privacy settings.

Google acts as the Data Controller for the information collected through their advertising network.
